The property was like a Tardis, small from the outside but cleverly maximized to create a home away from home. Just a short stroll to the beach and bus stop. Plenty of walks and bike rides available. Dog-friendly with bowls provided. Great value for money.

The cottage was well-equipped and tidy, providing a comfortable and reasonably priced stay. the owners were accommodating and pleasant, making us feel welcome. the location was fantastic, just a short stroll away from a lovely beach. We also appreciated the nearby bus stop, which made it easy to explore Clacton and other areas. One more advantage was the detailed local information provided in the welcome pack, which helped us plan our activities.
There was only one minor issue - the lack of WiFi access. It would have been convenient to have this amenity available.

Sandy Cottage was excellent value for money and provided a clean and quiet room. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the stunning beach and with easy access to town and pubs via the regular bus service. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we appreciated the secure yard for our pets.
The breakfast menu could benefit from a wider variety of options.

Loved the free parking, but who needs WiFi when you can bond with nature on the terrace and enjoy the "hiking" nearby? Colchester is a "mere" 25 km away.
Missing out on WiFi was like a vacation in the Stone Age. Unforgivable.

My recent stay at Sandy Cottage was simply perfect. The property itself was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the stunning beach. The owners had put a lot of thought into maximizing the space, making it feel like a home away from home. The decked garden space was a sun trap, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather. The area had a quiet and quirky charm that I hope remains in the future. I highly recommend Sandy Cottage for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.
As for drawbacks, the only thing that could be improved is the lack of WiFi access. However, this wasn't a major issue for me.

The cottage was clean and comfortable, making it the ideal retreat for our family. Definitely recommend for outdoor enthusiasts!
My children wanted a playground or outdoor play area for some extra fun.

The bathroom was amazing! I loved that it had both a shower and a bath. It was so nice to have the option to relax in a bubble bath or quickly rinse off in the shower. As someone who enjoys a good soak after a long day of trekking, this was a dream come true!
Personally, I found the bathroom a bit small, but hey, that's just me. Others might still enjoy its cozy size.
